Computer Zapped

Was on my laptop, full battery, all of a sudden it turns off automatically(zapped) and I can't turn it on anymore, no light on from battery, it looks dead, what they heck happened?.....

Did my power supply zap some of my internals? It's completely dead, no light on when power supply is plugged, nothing?

I'd guess power supply-not that uncommon in laptops.
